@Emmielou122 i looked closely just now, and i don't think i see the flap :S. just got back from the one week check up, my left eye is a lot clearer than my right when they took an eye test, but the doctor didn't seem alarmed. they said my flaps were sittin nicely and healing fine, and the swelling is causing some blurriness. she didn't say anything about 20/20 vision. it seemed kind of rushed and i forgot some of the questions i had, you'd expect better customer service after paying nearly $4000

@singhisking01 oh no :( yeah those drops were a nightmare cus they sting so much at first but as your eyes heal they sting less, plus they leave unatractive white goo around your eye and yeah i got the taste too! Better than an infection tho! I'll have look at your vid now :)

@Emmielou122 yeah it looks pretty bad, i wanted to get my grad photos done because i just graduated uni and now i cant :(, and it's not even a cool injury with an epic tale behind it lol, "yeah my eyes busted open cuz the bloody doctor wasn't gentle enough" Oh and btw those cloudy milky steroid drops are the worst bit because of the stinging, and also do you remember getting the weird aftertaste in the back of your throat from them? btw i posted my own little video about all this

oh dear, yeah thats bruising, and like any other bruise it will change colour and take a while to go. I know it looks scary, I felt dead self concious people might stare and I felt abit down for a few weeks, but it does go away. No one ever said anything bad, it was just a good conversation starter.

@Emmielou122 thanks for replying emma, yeah the dryness is the worst in the mornings for me, and sometimes my eyes seem to ache a bit..i think it might be the bruising since mine is massive! i literally have two red bloody circles around each iris. look like a freak. im glad i found your video since our procedures were exactly alike. yeah im guessing a month for me as well, but ill probably be at work this saturday which sucks..

Hello, thats great you had it done. Yeah I had dry eyes for a few weeks as they were healing. I would sometimes wake in the night and they would be dry so I'd have a drink of water and put drops in and they were fine. I'd say it was a good month before I got back into a normal routine. emma
so today was one of the crappier days. all day my vision and dryness has been fluctuating..sometimes my left eye is better and sometimes my right. also when i was putting in my drops, i might have touched my eye above the iris and became super paranoid i wrecked the flap. needless to say, i ended up being overwhelmed and almost began crying out of regret..it was ironic that the tears which were welling up actually made my eyes feel a lot better lol. the rain all day hasn't helped either...

@singhisking01 The flap will be fine, it heals pretty instantly and the drops will heal anything aswell, but if you are really worried you should get it checked out. It got me down too, thats another thing they dont tell you about in the ads! I think you get so excited and then its a bit of a let down because its not what your expecting. you dont need to regret it because in a months time you will feel like you never needed glasses and you'll be able to carry on with life as normal :)

@Emmielou122 i think i was freaking out a little too much. i dunno i just hate being careful with your eyes. im constantly scared on gonna roll over on my eyes in my sleep, and I love just standing with my face in shower,so i guess im tired of cleaning my face with a washcloth lol. YEAH the bleedin ads are totally misleading, everyone looks so happygolucky. they told me nothing about the bruising, but they did warn me about halos and dryness, but said it will be temporary...

@singhisking01 I know I was the same about touching my eyes. When I looked closely I could see the actual circular inscision on the surface of my eye, it looked like I was wearing contact lenses. then one day, when all the bruising and the circle had completely gone, I just went for it and rubbed my eyes and they were fine. I think you would have a job seperating the flap now. Ive never heard of anyone actually doing that anyway.
