what about for passing. Im a guy and was on JV last year and I want to be on Varsity. My vertical and passing are a little rusty how can I become better at passing and being to jump higher. Im a guy 5"6-5"7 and sophmore in hs, and want to know how to jump/pass better.
any tips ?

@XxkoolnesschickxX (3sets of 8). Also a medicine ball approach is good. Holding a 3kg ball in your hands, perform an approach as quickly as possible and explode upwards. 3 sets of 8.
Many more exercices like this exist. Remember though, if you feel "the burn" you are doing it WRONG! The burn is felt when you do endurance work, this is power and explosion, not endurance, so take brakes between sets, and always jump as high as you can!

@XxkoolnesschickxX Honestly, these drills probably will not help you very much. To increase your vert. jump, you need to increase explosiveness. Even though plyometrics is a way to increase that, these exercises aren't jumping specific. If you want to jump higher, wouldn't it make sense that you should jump? Here are a few amazing exercises. 1. Weighted jump. (Stand on a mat, holding a bum bell in each hand. Jump as high as you can and when you land, absorb it and jump straight back up.)
