My fist TSOP flashed/softmodded xbox v 1.0 (all done by me) :)

TSOP is just a chip that holds your bios.

and IT CAN be risky...if ur power goes out,the box comes unplegged ,Or looses power while doin the bios.

but i can walk u thru it sometime if u want.

u just make a solder bridge or 2.and flash the bios and thats pretty much it.

after that u dont have too much to worrie about.cause if ur dvd drive goes out.ur bios will still let u boot ur xbox.and u can mod the boot screen.

but b4 udo anything,find ouit what ver ur xbox is.and do a lil reading on it.

@LeonMeekis84 why can't you flash a 1.6b version i found out a thread u can us a 32 plcc eeprom chip and solder the do and brigde the pins on the chip and go from there etc etc

@MYDRAGGIN84 yeah there are chips to do this.but i like experimenting and doing it cheap or free.if i was u i would just buy another xbox to mod.cause they are really cheap now. soldering the chip isnt that hard either.just make sure u got a good shinny connection with the wires and the board.

@LeonMeekis84 no its not as risky as people think.its only risky if u dont know or aint comfortable doing it.

if u dont have brown outs or have ur lights flicker alot then ur good.all u should worry about when doing this is flashing the wrong bios to that ver of xbox or if ur power goes out when doing it.but that isnt verry likly.it only takes like 30-40 sec for it to flash then it reboots and its done. go ahead and do it its safe if u read up enuff and know what to do.

@applemonkey187 hello i always wanted to flash mine it's a 1.5 but never had the balls to try it ..too many tutorials and it's freaking confusing .i already soldered that thing on the motherboard ...i need steps and the bios and the software to flash with ..while googling i ran into an xbox application made to flash tsops called "eurasia_pro_generic_flash_dis­c "..so..is it safe ? what you think i should do ? your method the best method whatever anything that works..thanks

once u get ur xbox softmodded just goto skins and hit y (select all xbox skins) and it should b at the bottom)
