R-Type Final - Stage F-C (Bydo Difficulty)

Ship used: B-3A2 Misty Lady II

I imposed a challenge for this video: Get as far as I can in the hardest stage in the game using a ship that is universally seen as severely handicapped.

The Misty Lady series uses the Mist Force, the weapons are which are based on weather phenomena. They all fire downwards. They also have a spray-type Wave Cannon that is quite hard to use effectively. The ship and the force have an annoying fog surrounding them. The fog is purely cosmetic; it does not "diffuse lasers" as the R museum blurb states.

I memorized only the first 8 minutes of this level. Using a severely handicapped ship, you need to know where to be 100% of the time. I have to use the Mist force as a battering ram most of the time.

I panicked at the part with the space spiders and shielded enemies by using my delta weapon. I messed up because I did not know the laser turrets appeared at the start of the 25th century.

Damn, that ship looks like it's hard to use. How hard is this difficulty setting, anyway? I'm surprised you made it this far, from the looks of things.

Bydo Difficulty is the second hardest difficulty setting. Enemies move and shoot faster, as well as having increased HP.

Watching your playthroughs makes me realize how horrible I am with shmups, especially R-Type. XD

Is there any ability listed at bydo lab for ships which ARE real at all? I've seen it talking a lot of lies, like this ship reflecting lasers xD

I think I've seen a ship worse than that(I know there are a lot), but I can't remember its name...

In the description it said the mist is supposed to deflect bullets. When I used it, the ship died in one shot.

i say like this: the misty ladys force have great power, it's only disadventage is it's disability to fire forward or upward, so it's a good choice for those who want to have a real challenge
