Trying to Attend Town Hall Meeting: 8/6/09 Debbie Halvorson

We were asked to leave and told that the meeting was for Democrats and Union Members only. When asked when she would have a public meeting we were told that we needed to contact her office and then they kindly asked us to leave.

We thought it was a town hall meeting. That's what we were told. It wasn't until we got there that we saw the signs. It was strange. I can understand Democrats only but why Union members? Why not Dems and Dentists? Dems and Truck drivers? Dems and Teachers? The whole thing was just weird. We weren't there to disrupt. We had questions. If asking our ELECTED reps questions is disruptive I truly fear for this country.

No....I said "Half the meeting just left" meaning that over half the people there wanted to talk to this politician. I repeat it AGAIN @ 1:28 and neither time did it sound ANYTHING like "half the meeting was black". Please listen before you spew falsehoods.
