Halibut from a kayak - Pacific City, Oregon

Pacific halibut caught off the coast of Pacific City, Oregon in August of 2009. I had to let it go since the season was closed, but I'll be back out there next year! It ended up being 30-35 lbs. and thankfully, it still had plenty of spunk left when I let it go.

Man, I live down in Florence.. I have always wanted to try the yak fishing. I wasn't sure if you could fish around haystack rock or not??
