I get so tired of hearing that we only use x% of our brains! ask any neurologist, fifty years ago, this was state of the art science and it makes a great sound bite. But we use different parts of our brains for different tasks; you wouldn't use a kitchen mixer to drive to the store, you wouldn't use a wrench to undo a screw. We use 100% of our brains, but not all at the same time.

@BritMiss 1 of 2 Thanks for your comment - actually that quote is not that old [ 50 years] and it is not referring to the hard ware really so its a bit misleading, what is actually meant here is for example how much can you do with a hammer {or a computer}? If you use it occasionally to crack open a nut that’s great but you could also build a house - it has also been found in autopsies, some one having only a thin layer of brain seemed completely normal in life.
