This is a prayerful song by Rabindranath Tagore on truth and beauty and the bounties of nature and the splendour that this universe is. Most of what he wrote is sublime and I cannot even begin to try to translate what he tried to express through this highly lyrical poem. It appears that the music composed by Tagore for this song was taken from a popular tune in Mysore.

I learnt this song on the violin and thought I would share a stanza with all of you. It is nowhere near perfect and I hope you will ignore the mistakes.
