World Air Games. Acro paragliding RUN1.
Pilot is Pål Hammar Rognøy, member of Norwegian-Corax.
Glider is a Gradient Seven18-2009, sponsored by Gradient and Lierne Bakeri.
Take-off is done by D-bag dropp from helicopter.
Video is filmed using a GoPro HERO Widen camera mounted on my knee.
Unfortunatly, the the camera had to work under very hard conditions with the sun shining directly into the lens. Therefor the colors can seem a little bit weak, and my face do not show very well.
That is also why I did not bother to edit the clip, nor put music on it. I mainly put this on youtube to show my teammates back in Norway, and my wife and kids how I performed on my run.
Talking about that.
Exit from heli gave me a big kravat that I stalled out. Exit means the drop.
On manouver sat/heli, I had problems getting the heli to rotate quick enough
Next manouver was left tumble. Not my favorite, but OK. I enter to early as usual on left side tumble.
Next was rightside tumble. Goood altitude and angle, but I brake the exit to late and get a deflation.
Next is heli/SAT. Happy with this, even if the rotation slow down in the transition.
Superstall was very high and dynamic, but probably 45deg of axix in the exit.
Landing was very bad and hard.
But as I say in the video. Im just happy to be live ;)
