By now, you've probably seen or heard about Bob Parsons, Go Daddy CEO shooting an elephant and posting the video online. As you can see, I have a much different approach to helping people and wildlife coexist.

I am, Will Travers, the Chief Executive of Born Free USA http://www.bornfreeusa.org. I have dedicated most of my life to wildlife issues since living as a child in Kenya while my parents, actors Virginia McKenna and Bill Travers, made the classic wildlife film "Born Free" (1966). In 1984, I co-founded UK-based wildlife charity, The Born Free Foundation (where I am also Chief Executive).

I am a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society, a founding member of the Captive Wild Animals Protection Coalition, and a member of the IUCN (World Conservation Union) Species Survival Commission Reintroduction Specialist Group.

I welcome the opportunity to meet Bob Parsons face-to-face on a national television news program to discuss elephants -- or anything concerning wildlife conservation and animal welfare. He certainly has a lot to learn and I am happy to try and help (I'll even buy him a nice veggie lunch).

  • Thanks for all the work that you do to protect animals. GoDaddy CEO is a disgrace.

  • Yes. I already support Greenpeace and IFAW. And we can make bread and all kinds of food. But yeah, people living in the wild should have the right to kill gazelle, antilope. Feed of fish. But god.. why Elephants. Why Rhino's. Why! Nature is precious.

  • Thank your for sharing. Glad to see that there are still some people who care.

  • Thank you for sending me your video and for all your work on behalf of compassionate conservation.
