Well guy's after reading about the Yellow Fin Tuna running wild out there, I posted I wanted to go. and right away I was receiving messages. It was quack quack, He was ready to kill an other jumpedin right away and we set up a quick trip in only a couple days time.Good thing Eric has many friends as my friend dropped out last second So he made calls called in steve and lance We all met in ft. pierce got a room in the inlet kept my boat in the slip at the hotel. we got up 4:30 and hit the water running for the grounds was not 2-4 with a good wind blowing keeping us all wet. thank god for ever invent bean bags for boat ! found our first pack about 8:30 am came tight first pass, fish found the smallest reel on the boat my 30 tiagra. I was working it erick says come on get that thing in the boat before a shark eats it. 2 minutes later we boat the my first YFT. good coaching from all made it happen . we all high fived and started looking for more birds, we trolled for a few hours and seemed we had lost the birds and the planner gets hit lance reels in a baracuda. The winds picked up more and more as day went making good 10 foot waves out there it was making my 33 really small. we spotted another pack of birds make a pass and every rods came tight at once, we had 5 fish on at once. I was tight on a big one lance was tight on a screaming reel. steve yanks a yft in seconds , and a skipjack . I took about 20 miuntes to get my second YFT. Lance still fighting away on a good fish and it pops reels in a head a shark bit off the entire body in one bite. With ocean not getting better we turned to home early. I want to give big thanks to Eric, Steve, Lance, it was fun and a trip to remember as my first of many more to come.hope you guys will post some pics later. This was my first YFT and lance also but I am sure he also wants to get more.
