Christchurch International Airport is the main international hub for the South Island of New Zealand.
Main carriers into the airport are Air New Zealand and Qantas, however a number of smaller airlines also service this destination to Singapore, Tokyo, Fuji, Rarotonga and Australia, etc.
This airport is also the US Air National Guard jump point for Operation Deep Freeze - the US Antarctic Program (Operation Deep Freeze). C130 Hercules & Galaxy's are present during the season when the staff on the ice are rotated.
This 1.50min presentation includes footage of domestic arrivals / departures, international arrivals / deaprture, control tower, views form the viewing deck, views of the USANG base and surrounding sights.

Thanks for Posting, just to update your info though, the small airlines that service CHC to SIN is Big, Singapore Airlines and also Emirates flies in also for the SYD & Dubai out of CHC, so if you could change what you have written perhaps, also you might like to know the whole Airport building is undergoing a complete makeover and New Control tower being built outside of the Airport Terminal as to where it is currently.
