... ingredients: a wandering through city fringe lanes, a torn scrap of paper, a breeze and a pocket camera aimed with the hope of catching something interesting.

It was all inspired and spurred on by the moment, as in there was no preconceived idea beyond that already given. Things just took form as the filming began.

I recall willingly responding to the lure of the moment. I'm not sure how and at what point I went from being a detached observer to an active participant - its predator and eventually its killer. I hope the title suggests something of this escalation.

The breathing was added in editing and sits on top of real time audio recorded at the time of filming ...

  • I find this incredibly beautiful!!! Do your movies get shown anywhere else?

  • ... I really haven't thought about that a great deal. I'm very interested in the idea of art in public (not what is generally regarded as "public art"). My first interaction with YouTube was deciding to put up little movies about such works I had done. I soon realised that YouTube was itself a public space of sorts and so began toying & producing little vids that I consider works in their own right.

    What's ahead? Not sure...

  • ... for me the real reward keeps squirting out of your responses - those posted here and more sent privately. I love their poetry and am just fascinated by the range and depth of individual readings. I mean my head is already full of imagery of homeless saints, hunted animals, predators, rape and requiems.

    Thank you very much ...

  • You poor old piece of scrap. In your more finer moments you stood high and proud plastered against a billboard in this city. You were loud and vibrate, beautiful and demanding. Your message for all the unconscious consumers of this city had them all looking up as a welcome distraction as they rush to their destination.

But look at you now. Are the promises you make in your messages as ephemeral as your physical presence? I wonder who has taken your place. Will they have such an life as yours?

  • ... what an extraordinary response!!! You took it and made it your own. I love the picture you paint. Thank you ...

  • Manumente.

Give me a few moments. Or a day. To find the words.

All I can manage right now is "Utterly unique, disturbing, sexual, powerful, inSANELY delicious."

    Manumente...omg!!!!!!!

  • ... you are incredibly generous, Anna ...

  • Extremely well made, manumente.

    You keep on impressing me!

The sounds and the video are just....I don`t know how to describe it, but it all makes sense and it`s true art all the way.

  • It is the simplicity of the idea that volumes it's meaning. There is a reason I am so very fascinated in your work. They speak in such subtle whispers that echo in the mind and each video creates such a special meaning to every person that views them. I find that incredible. As do I find this moment, so perfectly captured, beautiful. Thankyou for sharing this (:

  • Your welcome brother...

  • interesting, i like that there is no other sing of objects moving in the wind, it gives the paper more life.
