  • Scooter2020259725,

Nobody is denying that there is a cyclic warming and cooling of the Earth every so many thousands of years(I don't know the exact figure). However the question is are we causing the warming earlier than it should be taking place?

  • Okay, be nice guys. We don't want a bad ass Geologist fight breaking out.

  • I had the pleasure of hearing, meeting, and talking to Dr. Abdalati about 3 yrs ago. As a Cryospheric researcher, he is a wealth of info regarding the Greenland ice. I learned quite a bit from this man and shared with him that of the 11 science teachers that make up our high school science dept, I was the only one teaching the truth about AGW. He was quite shocked. Since then, we have had a huge turnover in staff with new grads and now have 10 who don't deny AGW. Only one left now. :)

  • I guess we will just have to adapt, right? Isn't that what humans do best? Turn your lights off. Take fewer trips. Be conservative in your consumption choices.

  • @jimitl5 But is the ring growth constant?

  • Its amazing how many people have become brainwashed by the Glenn Becks of the world. Thank God Glenn Beck is not a scientist because if he were and he was leading the country we would all be making fires by rubbing sticks together. Between those that follow Fox news and the creationists the cummulative IQ of that group would be several points below that of a rock.

  • @cjellwood The layers of ice can be counted with core samples and they know approximately how long it takes to lay down each layer, much like the growth rings of a tree. Most people who have had some science education know this.

  • haha it was an 'ancient' ice shelf.

How do they know it was ancient?

    Bellends

  • .....Things always comes with many facet, arguments can be healthy, just depends on where is your stand point. I don't know why you keep insulting people, but yet, fail to provide any fact or meaningful argument. Despite you keep saying that you are not going to continue but keeps coming back, like a sissy.

  • I've actually never told this to anyone before. But I'm not going to continue a conversation with a person who needs to crawl under a rock. Your education level is severely beneath the average human being in 2010. This is not an ad hominem, but a fact which you may wish to confront in the mirror.

  • I'll tell you, the treaty hurts American people the most. Ultimately the carbon token shit goes to the belly of wall street guys..CDS, does it rings the bell? All the holy crap were built to end here.

  • And who told you I am American? LoL
