I absolutely adore Ava Gardner; think she's stunning, a great actress and a cool person. A lot of her films are a bit mediocre, with a few brilliant exceptions, but all of them showcase how lovely she looks. Seeing as there's so much to choose from, I only used clips from 'Pandora and the Flying Dutchman' in this mediocre tribute- but luckily that film is wonderful, and it's one of my favourites. I wanted to capture the character of Pandora, who is similar in some ways to Ava- beautiful, strong, sad but eventually peaceful and happy. Hope you enjoy it! IThanks for watching :) please comment and like

  • Wow... I've never seen Ava in this movie, she's breathtakingly beautiful. I wish I had used it in my Top Beauties video. Beautiful woman. Powerful video here, I enjoyed it a lot :)

  • @MonroeSmile Thank you!! This is her most beautiful, I think, but I thought you picked great clips in your Beauties video anyway :)

  • REally cool tribute she was so stunning

  • @thoserubyslippers Thank you! She really was one of the top beauties ever

  • Holly wood has many; beautiful blondes but only a few gorgeous brunettes: Jeanne Crain, Jean Simmons, Elizabeth Taylor, and, of course, Ava Gardner. Many of her movies were mediocre, but she was outstanding. A few of her better ones, The Killers, One Touch of Venus, Snows of Kilimanjaro and Show Boat. I love the sound of her soft, slightly Southern voice. I like the Flying Dutchman, but I think that she and James Mason lacked chemistry. She fared better with Greg Peck.

  • @allieree Don't forget Gene Tierney for the brunettes! I love the Killers, it's the best, and I think the Barefoot Contessa is good though slightly melodramatic... Peck & her are great, I agree, though I'm a big James Mason fan.

  • Terrific tribute!! I agree 100% with your description. Ava didn't have many good movies and she looked amazing in Pandora!!! Probably at her best ever! Compared to the better known Mogambo or Barefoot Countessa...she was more exquisite here!
