Stop watching these shit heads... they twist any shred of fact into fallacy and just straight make stuff up. In 2000 before Clinton left he enacted anti-predatory lending rules with strict rules against risky lending. These rules were remove by the republicans in 2004. The warning from Greenspan was a result of reps removing these rules. I like how Faux News doesn't even name the legislation... just so happens that legislation never made it out of committee (horrible bill) so there was NO vote!

Not all fault is with the democrats, but the leading of these two companies was terrible. But it was not just the loans that were being given out it was an accumulation of everything going on throught the country, the war, natural disasters, how goverment programs are run. Not just one party or one thing is at fault, you have to look at the whole thing and see what really is. But it still is not being fixed correctly irregardless

It was McCains BFF Phil Gramm that wrote the bill that allowed this crisis to happen. It was passed by a Republican senate and congress. It repealed bank regulations that allowed banks to bundle sub prime mortgages with other mortgages to hide the credit risks and then sell to other investment firms. It was deregulation, the mantra of the Republicans. I would like to hear Faux News explain how Democrats blocked the reform if the Republicans held all three branches of government from 2002-2006

As stated citizens your Cowardly Congress is caving in. Wow I thought those Democrats were for the middle class. They are even worse than the GOP. At least Republicans tell the American people how they are going to stick it to them. The Democrats oppose their policies in the media then cave in to them behind closed doors. What a bunch of Cowards (Are you listening Nancy Pelosi Chris Dodd etc.) Vote them out. Stop being so afraid of a third party candidate. After this debacle they sure are.
