hi Justin, i really like when some foreing person plays classic mexican music, because is simply beautiful and fully sentimental. And really you play greatly this song. I play it too, but i don´t have the sheet, is very sad because i would like diffuse this music, because many people doesn´t know it. So.... could you send me this sheet please?, is very important for me and i could send you more sheets of this kind of music, o.k?
Take care i and hope an answer.

Gracias

@dianalamaga Congratulations for your performing of this Ponce's dance. I would kindly ask you if there is any way I can have a copy of this piano score, it is an impressing melody and I would like to include it in my repertoire. Thanks in advance, and my congratulation again for playing such a beautifull Mexican music. Viva Mexico and Viva America.

Justin: Nice interpretation of Ponce's sophisticated romanticism in this piece. But just an explanation with all respect: we are Latin-Americans, because "Latinos" are us, and Spain, France, Italy, Portugal and Romania: countries with roman-latin cultural heritage. And countries like Mexico or Argentina are hispanic because our spanish (hispanic) heritage. But we, Latin-Americans, are different countries. It's better to say Ponce was a mexican composer than "latino". Thanks for your kindness.

In my humble opinion, The piece must reflect two things; the true friendship between Ponce and Jesús Contreras, and second the sorrow, Ponce wrote that especially for Contreras after he lost his hand, his instrument of work that allowed him to comunicate, make Art, something wich Ponce understood perfectly.
Thumbs up!

good song, I agree with Richmir, how ever the that terrible piano doesn't help at all, professor with all respect you need to feel the the song and let it go, dance like nobody's watching

Hello robinbl01, the indicated tempo in the score for this Ponce piece (A Pesar de Todo) is Moderato which means that the piece should be played in a moderate tempo or moderately.
