Mariah's voice didn't stand up well considering the amount of performing she did to that point. Her Music Box Tour was 6 dates, Daydream Tour 7 dates, Butterfly 12 dates. Her voice should've held up a little better with that few dates to that point. That's 25 concerts in 5 years. Not to keep dragging Whitney into this but she's 10 times the performer Mariah is. Whitney's first tour was 68 dates, Moment of Truth Tour 153 dates, I'm Your Baby Tonight Tour 101 dates. Then she did The Bodyguard.

Do people not realize that Mariah doesnt sing anywhere as well as she used too. In nearly all of her more recent performances she is lip syncing. Even at her height she was NEVER better than Whitney. Because she can sing in whistle register?? great, so can my cat.
