This brings back memories of Japan. The trains are a core part of daily life and
are efficient and convenient.
When I first arrived I did not understand how many different train systems existed. Some stations, such as at least one in Funabashi, had little distinction between JR and Chikatetsu/subway. There could be two stations with the same name serving different systems. One poor station agent in Tokyo had quite a difficult time explaining this to me when I spoke almost no Japanese...
