  • The speaker is bang on the mark when he talks about how it should be about the 'understanding of the subject matter, not about the writing itself.' Use technology to enhance teaching and learning, give the students a chance to learn the skills that are going to be required in the big wide world we live in...going to live in!

  • Depending on the data source, YouTube is now classed as the second most visited website in the current media landscape. If this is how young people (our current and future students) use media not only to to entertain themselves, but to also educate themselves, then why is is taking so long for academics to adopt and adapt the youtube principle and include this media within a pedagogic framework?

  • Thank you for sharing your reflections. As a teacher who is making her first foray into YouTube and as one who is going to do her best to adopt/incorporate engaging digital methods of teaching and learning in her classroom (I do some, but not enough yet) these types of clips are really invaluble to me!

  • Great method! Not every teacher can do so!
