On 3/19/07, the Kent County Michigan Democratic Party members invaded the meeting of the Kent GOP to encourage the Republican members to contact their Republican Senators, asking them to meet with Michigan Governor Granholm about the pending budget crisis. Kathy Roaleen addressed the GOP with 10 Dem supporters in the audience. Included in the video are the responses by members of the Kent County GOP. Michigan Rep. Tom Pearce is a long-winded idiot who like to hear the sound of his own voice... he spoke for so long that I had to cut his speech in the video to make to 10 min. YouTube limit. (You're welcome)
Since when is breaking into and disrupting the meetings of a rival political party considered 'democratic'?

I know I am late responding to this video but I just saw it for the first time. I am ashamed to be a Kent County Democrat today.
I have been involved in the Democrats for over thirty years and we used to have respect for people even if we disagreed with them.
The Republicans showed that they still have that respect for us when they let our group talk. They didn't have to do that. And they were all quiet and respectful during our talk and even applauded.
I am very dissapointed in you.

Jeff Winston, a 37 year-old man excited about his first chance to use his brand new Inspector Gadget "Spy Camera", giggles in anticipation about all the names he'll be able to call Republican representatives gracious enough to respond at length to the concerns of the Democratic party.
Your post speaks volumes about the character of those you represent, and even more about how ungrateful you are for excellent political leadership. Congrats.

Well, if there weren't idiots that did not know what "bipartisan" means, Rep Pearce wouldn't have had to go on for so long. With all of the work he has done in the community, everyone knows he is more knowledgable than most on where the Michigan family needs budget boosts. Lay off dickhead.

Dems control the State House, the Governor is a Dem, and they almost have the Senate. Why can't they get anything done? Maybe because they understand the Governor's plan is going to continue killing off businesses and jobs in the state.
