5hp Manco Go kart with GY6 carburetor

Sorry for the poor quality, this video was shot with my RAZR cellphone. This is my recently restored Manco Dingo Go kart, it has the factory B&S 5hp engine with a few tweaks like Wiseco piston, machined cylinder head, ported and polished intake and exhaust ports and a GY6 carburetor. I estimate it's makes around 8 to 9hp. Established top speed is 50 mph (measured with my wife's car. Upcoming mods are Honda GX390 13hp engine, bigger torque converter (compulsory since the GX390 has about 26 pounds/feet of torque, enough to destroy the actual comet torq-a-verter2 so STAY TUNNED!!!

isnt that gy6 carb for scooter engines? and how did u make it fit?

Surprisingly the holes on the engine align perfectly with the mouting holes of the manifold boot . I there was no need of adjustments on the carbs needles or jets neither.

@MarvinSanti ohh shit couldnt tell but ayy thanks for the reply my throttle on the stock carb sometimes dosent always open up all the way and my carb floods and dies..these are badass carbs

okay thanks. i am trying to do some carb mods on my robin engine made by subaru. when i hit a bump it seems like the float bounces and my engine floods and it sort of chokes and then speeds up again. i think my best bet would be to put more of a motorcycle type carb on

thats a down draft carb correct flip it down and add lots of fuel pressureand it will work better.
