Asad Badi is an Afghan musician who has an MD from faculty of Medicine, Kabul University. Asad Badi was a musical sensation during the 1980's and he was a member of Afghan musical band, "Grohi Baran" [The Rain Band]. Asad Badie's younger brothers have also started singing. Bareeq Nasir and Mirwaise, who shares the looks and vocal cords of Asad Badie have mersmerized Afghan music lovers with their latest video hits.

Leila Forouhar (born 1960 in Isfahan, Iran) is a singer and actress from Iran who is very popular in Iran. She relocated to Los Angeles after the Iranian Revolution to avoid the ban on female singing placed by the revolutionary council. Prominent Shia Muslim scholar Reza Aslan is her nephew.
