  • You haven't lived 'til you've seen the original Patti Lupone perform this live.

But Eden did a great job on a very hard song. Like I said in my last comment, she got a bit too ambitious on the last notes.

  • Eden is amazing. There's no doubt about it. She's one of a kind, and her interpretation of this song (and any song, for that matter) is beautiful. At the same time, however, Liz Callaway is the one who truly touches this gorgeous piece with the necessary tenderness to move listeners to tears and is the one that breathes life into "Meadowlark"'s intricacy and complexity and masters this kind of storytelling.

  • i think though she is a wonderful singer/performer i am not sure i like her much in this rendition

  • I love her and her voice but she puts emphasis at the weirdest places! And the way she changes her voice at random parts of the songs is also weird but it's how she sings, you may think it's yelling/mixing truth is it's her voice it's how she does it so why pick at it it's not like we're experts!

  • I wish I could "yell" like that with full vibrato and tone. Sure, she sounds a pinched in some places, but most parts she certainly isn't yelling.

  • Here's the thing- Eden isn't BELTING she is YELLING. Singing super super super high in your chest voice doesn't classify as "belting" unless you are doing it right, because if you do it wrong, that's called yelling. Eden can hit the notes but it doesn't sound like a true "belt" it sounds like a yell to hit the notes. Barely any of her notes sounds mixed. All I hear is either pure head or yelling in her chest voice.

  • we get it.......you can sing high.......you and every other girl.

  • I don't hear any belting, just head voice and mixing. What happened to belting? Check out Betty Buckley, now that is belting!

  • beautiful..

  • it was mediocre until the last note, then it was shit.

  • I felt like ive just been pumched in the mose with a belt (pun intended)

  • we get it eden, you can sing high
