A River and Five Bridges

The basic concept of the piece parallels life in Switzerland 'am Rheinknie' and uses non-abstract, commonplace symbols like fish, birds, and nuclear reactors amongst others to suggest complex interactive compositional processes on a time line construct. Musically, the piece deals with ideas of flow and anti flow in contrasts and balances. The, title 'a river with five dams' is a simple analogy: the keyboard is a standard for flow, or river and a preparation system using multi-surfaced 'dams', or dam is the standard for anti flow.
