I went on that too. 2 tour gides took us out in the river. We found about 75 sharks teeth, I think it was about 80$ for about 7 hours. Really fun!!!

so the town of summerville has kicked fossil hunters out of Sawmill branch creek and giant cement won't let you look either. i guess this is the next spot. I didn't think the Edisto was deep enough to dive in?

you can actually still hunt for fossils in sawmill branch as long as you are just walking. the town as disallowed the use of any kinds of tools there. Giant has been closed to the public for fossil collecting for at least 10 years. Lafarge is the one who just officially ended their public hunts. rivers have always been a place to look. the edisto has some spots deep enough to dive but you have to explore like everywhere else.
