Whoa why does it have gold on the side? All the others I've seen are completely black.

does anyone know how well the touchscreen works while wearing gloves? I constantly take photos while riding dirt bikes and I'm concerned it won't work. The main selling point for me (I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy one soon) is that the lens does not telescope. Every camera I've used on the trail seizes and goes into the trash bin because of dust

@xpreso38 ST1000 features WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS geotagging built-in. Surely you can connet ipad.
