Left 4 Dead 2 Viral Advert - Gnome Chompski

An advert for Valve's co-operative survival horror game 'Left 4 Dead 2', filmed for my Foundation Graphic Design course. The brief required us to create a viral ad for a video game without using any existing game artwork. As a result, I decided to focus on the game's sound effects and the distinctive 'voice work' of the Infected, which led me to exploring the potential hardships of our hopeless hero: Gnome Chompski.


All sound effects belong to Valve and 'Left 4 Dead 2'.

@ThePieIsLie I do not doubt it for a second. Chompski must have gone mad from the isolation of a ruined world. The irony is that the sole survivor of an apocalypse, predominantly percieved as an exceptional figure, has no power or authority to tell us his tale.

Gnome Chompski isn't what he seems. Beneath that seemingly passive non moving exterior lies the soul of a madman.

Imagine. Once the entire planet has been infected and once every infected has died of hunger, all there will be left is Gnome Chompski! And who started the infection to begin with? Don't get me started...

OMG alex! ^_^ it's Lucy Pidgeon. I googled Gnome Chompski to lol at some videos of him and this came up. Obviously i loled the hardest at this one ahah
