neil pearts style and technique are so much more advanced than any other drummer i have seen. His beats are so hard to tap your foot too cause they're always complicated and he makes the song what it is. Long live NEIL PEART!

If there is 'nothing wrong with that'. (as you said), then what is the point of the critcism. The Cottontail performance was part of a tribute to his influence, Buddy Rich. Drummers from different styles were intentionally chosen. Their performances were not to say they were jazz experts. Just paying homage.Why WOULD he swing within a big band context, he is a rock drumemr and doesn't play with big bands. That is like saying Tom Cruise is a bad comedian.
