  • Newer Britax convertibles have an energy management feature called rip-stitch tethers which means that the tether should not be pulled tight while rear-facing, like in the above video (the carseat used in the video had a date of manufacture of 08/02). The rip-stitch tether was introduced on the Marathon on 8/1/06, on the Boulevard on 9/11/06, on the Decathlon on 1/30/08, and on the Roundabout on 2/1/08. All other convertibles made since were introduced with the rip-stitch tether.

  • I think its the Marathon.

  • It's the Marathon, but the techniques apply to all Britax convertibles.

  • we have sort of the same car seat here in aust and all that but out teather stapes go over the car seat and conect at the back of the car not on the floor but then agagin our cars r not like yours in the us so yeah but i love ur car seats they look really good

  • my britax lock offs pop open a lot, I find in that case it is better to just lock the seat belt. Also She doesn't seem to get it all that tight? I find britax seats are so easy to get rock solid.

  • You actaully couldn't put a newborn in that seat. The harness doesn't go small enough.

  • what kind of car seat is that i know its britax but is it decathlon or the roundabout
