Our Visiting Orphans group visited Project 61 at the Korah dump community in Ethiopia on Tuesday, July 27th 2010. On our drive in we stopped and bought lunch. Caution, this video shows animals being slaughtered.
I just applied for a visiting orphans trip. This wouldn't have bothered me so much if I were there, as today we just slaughtered the yearlings (sheep) in the barn. 4 lambs have been born this week, and we needed to slaughter the yearling lambs. We actually slaughtered one of our cows for a family at church, and packed there freezer with beef. Its part of my life. I assume it was a shock for so many members of that team though, or sounded it.
