* PARTS 1-4 DO NOT HAVE THE WIDESCREEN EFFECT FOR SOME ODD REASON, THIS IS FIXED IN PARTS FIVE AND BEYOND
People wanting to just watch the gameplay skip to 5:00
Right now with that disclaimer out of the way let's begin talking about this wonderful game.
First and Foremost though, PT stands for Playthrough (I just don't like the word Let's Play for some reason so I decided to go for middle ground) and YES this video has commentary in it (some people just don't seem to get it...)
Right now with THAT disclaimer out of the way let's begin talking about this wonderful game.
Anyway, Resident Evil while not the first Survival Horror game (I believe Alone in the Dark has that honor) it is the first one to coin the term.
Boy, Oh Boy is it a trip.
Bad voice acting aside, this game has some of the most memorable scenes in video games.
I'm sure many of y'all who played this still remember the cinematic where for the first time you come face to face with a zombie... (still a little chilly even today)
This game is like a good horror movie, a few cheap scares strewn about but, the air of your surroundings is tense and your constantly on your feet.
When you hear a zombie groan and start to pull out your trusty gun or reach quickly for the run button, you know the game has you in it's spell.
The only way to escape from the mansion is to delve even deeper into it's depths, and unlike a Horror Movie where your forced to see the characters actions instead you are in control.
Leaving only your actions to blame...
With every step taken forward you feel as if though just one wrong move could mean death for your character.
This is the true feeling of Survival Horror and a feeling few games of the kind mimic today...
So join me in solving not only the riddle of the missing STARS members but, also the riddle of the mansion itself...
Enjoy... and begin to enter the world of Survival Horror.

Ok now I have to ask. Is this the PSN version? My version has Chris Redfield lighting up a cigarette in the beginning.

Then you would have the
"Directers Cut - Un-Cut" Version
(try wrapping that one around your head... :/)
As for mine
I got this one before PSN was even introduced, so I got no idea...
Tell me if you find out though I would love to find it off ebay! :]
