This concept sounds awesome. I don't know why when something cool comes out or there is something new people always feel the need to hate or try to out think it? Why can't we show a little love towards stuff that we dont understand. Im tired of how people on here will hate more than love any day of the week and yet when asked in polls do they dislike negative ads they say yes, but somehow negative advertising works. Sad.
I think this sounds cool & I am going to signup & tell my friends.

@Futurehitdna Thanks for this info. This is a great deal, then. An artist would be hard pressed to find a better deal with any label. The short term deal is an amazing idea. You've created a scenario where the label is motivated to promote & market the songs, without locking the artist into a contract with options, and are giving better profits for the artist than the major labels and most indies. Great way for an artist to help launch their career and build a following.

@marcfrigo it's a lot more economical to sign writer/artists which is what we're looking at. We are looking to split the profits 50/50 and publishing is 50% of the income. Our deals are short term, so if we are successful the artist can make more money and owe nothing to us for any future songs. Considering the value we're providing, I personally feel an artist will find this is the most equitable deal short of DIY.

@swankrecords apparently very difficult since 80% of self-released music achieves zero traction. Most artists don't know how to market. I commend those that do and take the DIY route. My experience is that this is not the case. If you prefer, I could charge the artists thousands of dollars for our services and profit whether I succeed or not.
