After this flight, one of the feathering bolts came out and threw a blade, resulting in me searching for parts of heli in all the brambles, took an hour and a half to find!! You can see the vibration getting worse in this flight, but I did't spot it until the heli blew apart mid air!! {not on camera though!

Heli is not too bad, 1 stripped servo, flybar, main shaft, couple of broken links.

I use threadlock an all metal to metal bolts but I think I must have got some grease on the thread!! Doh!

  • nice, very steady.

  • nice flying mate

  • la caña!!!

  • Gyro with 25 degres left, you should be considering some drifting as it is not on a plane surface, don't you ?

  • Unlike the 450 Sport that has the servo upright under neigh and with in the frame, This models (450sa, se, xl, etc.) tail servo is at the necessary angle for the servo control arms to be in line with the tail linkage push rod. This allows for a perfect 90 degree postion allow there to be equal distance of control movement to either side of the control arm.

  • Absolutely awesome video! I enjoyed viewing how the heli corresponds to swash plate movement while in flight, especially when going inverted.

    Thanks for the video.

  • servo usually doesnt work anymore.

  • looks so nice :-D

  • I don't know but that's how I have my tail servo mounted also on my T-Rex. Futaba gyro 401 and digital servo on the tail like that. Same position and angle. Works fine. Very nice flight.. I'm gonna go fly my 450 at the park in a little while. I have to get one of these cameras to play with. Very cool. Great job!

  • how can tell a servo is stripped?
