It was a hard decision for Brett cuz he knew he could play one more year physically, but after 17 years, mental burnout creeps in. It's understandable. It's hard to play at a high level for that long. Thanks Brett!

Favre is great..but he's just not the best ever. Not the top 5 either, maybe the top ten. But some of his records actually hurt him, not to mention his one Super Bowl win out of his many seasons.

He's good, but there is no way on God's green Earth he is the best and never will be. I'm not saying that to be mean, just stating the facts. Yeah, he has broken a lot of records, but he has a lot that you DON'T want like interceptions which basically eliminate him from the competition. The ones who are in that category are probably Joe Montana, Peyton Manning, Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino, John Elway(probably not, but he's still great), Terry Bradshaw, Otto Graham, and Dan Fouts among others.
