MVA ~ 18 Wheeler VS Car

At 3:57 pm MedStat, Kosciusko Fire and Rescue, Kosciusko police and the Mississipp i Highway Patrol responded to a two vehicle MVA on Hwy 35 South at the city limits. Attala Communicat ions advised emergency personnel that an 18 wheeler was involved. First responders on scene arrived to find a Chevrolet Caprice with heavy damage and two subjects still in the vehicle. The tractor trailer was parked in the turn lane with what looked like minor damage to the trailer. Bystanders said that the driver of the Chevrolet pulled out in front of the 18 wheeler. MedStat transporte d two patients to Montfort Jones Hospital. A 88 year old male and 79 year old female both with only minor cuts and scratches. Both the driver and passenger were wearing seat belts.
