Funny idea to give Asterix and Obelix an French accent :D

In the original French version, the Britons speaks with an English accent. All adjectives are reversed and the English idioms are translated litteraly. Like :
Goodness gracious ! I say, a roman galley !
Bonté grâcieuse ! Je dis, une romaine galère ! Instead of "une galère romaine."

Say, if Asterix and all the Gauls have French accents and Anticlimax and all the Britons have English accents, then how come neither Julius Caesar nor any of the Romans have Italian accents?

i never saw this film as a kid, but this trailer was at the start of one of my other videos :D i loved this trailer so much but we could never find the actual film for me to watch.
however, this trailer brings back so many memories :) thanks for uploading!

A lot of the dialogue in this trailer appears to sound different or is completely different from the actual movie - maybe the trailer was made before the movie was completed?
