  • How much do them "Vega banjos" cost?

Thats a great version and early to, usually its every morning I wake up conor has posted new vids so woop!! btw Conor apart from this how many more concerts have you got in ur pile!

  • I think 6 more concerts, then numerous TV appearances spanning all of the group's incarnations. It's gonna take awhile :)

  • If you are ever driving from Belfast to Derry or visa versa avoid the new bypass and drive through Toome village. A Celtic cross stands where Roddy McCorley was executed by the British beside the River Bann.

  • Bobby is in the video, Liam is not

  • @dourotter

    There was a Bobby Clancy.

Finbarr and Aoife's father. He died around 2002. A brother of Liam, Tom and Paddy, he often performed with them in the reunion tours. Don't be talking nonsense.

  • Liam Clancy passed away in Waterford last week, December 2009.

  • There wasn't (isn't) a Bobby Clancy. There was or is a Liam Clancy.

  • On a hill near the town we have planted a gun that will batter through there infantray at Ross, then the Lee men and Lagen men march over the heath -the green at the head of each comand-but the 4 most of all among the grim barna~whale' was john kelly the bhoy from kilan, oh but the gold harp of freedom was shadowed by crown and thrust among the slanies red waves-wexford stripped naked high on a cross her heart pireced by traitor and slave! Mount Leinsters red head son was lost sinn john kelly

  • see a pike blade flash through the sun-as it finds a red coats heart-a banner flashes across the sky high over marching men, wexfords bhoys have heard the call and quick they win in fray but still roddy MCCorley goes 2 die on the bridge of toomb today

has anyone ever heard that verse? 1967 record called IRISH REBEL SONGS ..original! another thing is wexfords battalions arrived B4 Roddy's small unit takes the feild near whats now Donni-ga-dee,still what words!
