Srt-10 stands for street racing technology and the number of cylinders the engine has

@mcmastersofdisaster yeah i know it took them time and money and yes i know it's a performance truck, i happen to have read that on their page about the ram, can i just add, it took you 3 weeks to give me a reply, i thought we'd moved tbh. Completely forgot about all this.

@wilsonjl16 Street Race Track (SRT) is for Dodges performance line of vehicles. The Ram SRT-10 not only has the same V10 as the Gen III Vipers, but it also has upgraded brake, suspension components, as well as bigger wheels/tires to enhance handling.
The point being, the Ram SRT-10 isn't simply a Ram with a V10 crammed under the hood. Dodge spent a lot more time and money turning it into a performance truck.

@mizzou1990 thats because it has got the exact same engine as the dodge viper and thats why it's called viper powered. im sure the "srt-10" only refers to the fact that it is a v-10 and if you were to call it srt-10 powered then it would just sound pathetic. calling it viper powered has nothing to do with making it sell because people who buy the srt-10 can simply go to the dealer and see for them selves that it has the 8.3L viper engine
-
@wilsonjl16 of coarse dodge is going to call it 'viper powered', everyone knows what a viper is and they'll sell more saying it has a viper engine than if they called it srt-10 powered, which is what it is. like them calling their rams 'hemi-powered', because everyone knows the hemis of old and it helps sales.
-
@mizzou1990 by the way, wasn't the v10 viper engine only ever built for dodge vipers? and then one day they decided to put it into a dodge ram? because by that then that must be why dodge decided to say it was "viper powered" I could be wrong so check up on it and lay me down some facts if you can be bothered to waste your time, not really fussed if you do so.
-
@mizzou1990 no im pretty sure it does say viper, i mean i tried having a look on Google images and im 100% sure on both sides of the engine it says viper. plus it isn't me that decides to call it viper powered i only know that it's dodge that decided to call it viper powered.
-
@wilsonjl16 it sounded like a tuned viper, the stock exhaust on the srt10 ram is quiet, this one sounded like a mean viper, either way we all knew who was going to win.
-
@wilsonjl16 ok so all 4.6 and 5.4 f150s should be called 'mustang powered' since they have the same engine as the mustangs. if you pop the hood on an srt-10 ram the engine doesn't say viper, it says srt-10. it is called an srt-10 in the viper too. so i guess vipers are 'ram powered'.
tis viper powered is it not?

ok im gonna explain this to all you idiots so we can get this straight. 1 the two cars were at a car meet before we went and raced. the ford is roush charged and only pushing 7lbs. 2 the camera i used was terrible so the quality of sound is terrible as well. if your going to continue to say that the truck is not supercharged, WHEN WE WERE THE ONES WHO WERE THEIR, NOT YOU, then you are dumber then a sack of shit.
