@ventsolaire i heard kungfu and other martial arts in asia were based off of sanskrit a indian martial art

This very closely resembles Serak, a style of silat.

@ventsolaire I know the history of arabs and muslims world, there is a difference between arab, arabized people and muslim!! Arab is orginally from saudi arabia whereas arabized people are from Irak, lebenan, syria to north africa like ,marco,tunisia...etc.On the other hand, during the muslim empire, all muslims from no arab people used to give their arts under muslim empire like perisans, indians and later turks ...etc,I hope it's clear for u now??

the guy in 0:28 is doing silat the guy in the beginning is doing chaquan

@omij80 It's a bit of a misunderstanding. Silat is an Indonesian school of external martial arts that is said to be islamic in origin - it's not arabic, but it is a muslim style.
What they showed here, however, looked like Cha Quan - created by an ethnical minority in China called the Hui people - practically, Chinese Muslims.

looks like pencak silat... no, really... I'm a pesilat myself, and there are so much different styles of pencak silat here (Indonesia).
the one in video looks like a silat style from betawi (batavia), which also ubiquitous in appearance.
I know arabic belly dance but arabic martial arts is more like a jok :)

@molezay I do not know Arabian martial arts either. However, judging by the size of the empire in the history, it is not likely to be a joke. On the other hand, if you are not a joke yourself, you should be ready to answer the possible objection from Arabian martial artists.

never heard of this "silat" style. I speak Arabic, and si/salat means prayer.

@omij80 Name aside, do you recognize this style of martial art?
I get this clip from a Chinese TV program on tracing back the origin of a Chinese martial art: Chaquan. They believe it was introduced to China by middle eastern mercenaries more than a thousand years ago.
As I post this clip, some people recognize this style as Indonesian Silat. They are not saying its Arabian name is Silat.
I am wondering the possibility of both Chaquan and Silat share the same origin.

In this case, there is still possibility that this style of martial art is Arabian.
This could be the origin of Silat.
There are massive Muslim polulation in Indonessia. Islam originated in middle east. In this context, there is a possibility that this style, Silat, and Cha Quan of Chinese martial art, are all distant relatives from the same origin.

I do not know its actual name, and you are most likely right. I am very grateful for your correction.
This footage is from a program from CCTV in China. According to that program, this style might share its origin with a style of Chinese martial art.
However, we all should know Chinese ability of making fake products.
