Scale of Boredom Video 5

What do we do when we are bored? We would never remember because they would be our subconscious habits. Creating a new index of boredom is difficult, because boredom is subjective - everyone has different opinions and tolerances.

The volunteers were asked to experience what they thought was 5 minutes, by guessing how long it would be. They would be put in a situation in which they had nothing to do, but sit and wait until the time was up.

This allowed me to document what they did when they were bored, and also gave me the chance to see how accurate they were.

I proclaimed this waiting for 5 minutes with nothing to do as "1 John Major" in a tribute to our exciting ex prime minister!
