In this clip Buddy takes center stage for a set of tunes accompanied by his sister Betty Beaton on keyboard and Dave MacIssac on guitar.
Background...
It was August 28, 2005 when two fabulous Cape Breton fiddlers took to the stage in Judique for a CD release party. Natalie MacMaster, expecting her first child soon, and her uncle Buddy macMaster gave the crowd and evening to remember! I was fortunate enough to be there and take it all in and capture a few minutes of the event on video as well.

  • Love this tune

  • it's cool how buddy always plays them in the same order, thats where i got the idea from i always do that too

  • What a Clip! Heroic is the word for Buddy MacMaster. I read that when Buddy plays all the other great fiddlers sit up front, close their eyes and listen. Here's why.Buddy starts with Jerry Holland's "Old Faithful" one of the prettiest tunes you'll ever hear and casually tosses off traditional dance tunes that would make a curmudgeon have happy feet. The audio portion of this clip used to be available on Cape Breton Live Show one. This quintssential Buddy tune defines the word beauty in music.
