amazing music! can't get over the harmony between the toned-down bass guitars and Phil's voice

Is either version of this song available somewhere in ALBUM quality, or is it only available as a muddy demo version?

Well considering they are demos of tracks NEVER RELEASED, probably not. It wouldn't make much sense for the studios to record and press album quality versions of songs that won't fit onto the album anyway, would it?
I will say that the lossless versions of these tracks do sound a hair better. The flaws heard on .mp3 versions won't be found on those. I uploaded them about a 6 weeks ago over at DIME, along with other T&L demos.
Although you should be happy enough this stuff exists at all...

Do you know what year this is? Is it really Thin Lizzy or already Grand Slam?

I've always understood it as being from September 1982...just after they got Sykes in the band. The guitar work toward the end with the pinch harmonics sound like Sykes, rather than say, Laurence Archer.
