Love the way Dickens use's Lizzy's past career to come to the bully's rescue.

sexy stache. also, i love how paul mcgann plays eugene. absolutely love it. he's not really supposed to be a likeable character, but he somehow makes him likeable. and they're just adorable together.

Both Eugene and Headstone have imposed themselves on Lizzie but approached her differently. That's why Eugene won her over with his elegant manner and calm voice. She was attracted to him from the very beginning but Dickens is showing us here that a true gentleman is someone who carries himself calmly, elegantly and speaks with a voice such as Eugen's. Women in general are attracted to such men. They don't like men who can't control their emotions and react violently such as Headstone.
