Kosen-rufu is not 'earned,' it is given to all (as the actual meaning of the word implies) and is found by those who use it. And the bird was slightly-wrong about the nature of things ... people can choose either to go with their nature (evil, lazy, whatever) or to change their nature through practice. For example, I was born left-handed (both times), but am now right-handed.

@mythmanjay for kosen rufu to manifest it is necessary for respect for the Law to prevail. In other words, it is an effect that comes about as a result of enough good causes. It cannot be created like something physical - it is a state of LIFE that exists within all Life & so far we cannot imagine what it is, because it has never existed in this world yet. But it certainly doesn't just pop up by chance or demand - the right causes have to be in progress for it to happen & that takes effort.

@mythmanjay what an extraordinary comparison you present! A persons sexuality goes far far deeper than left handedness my friend. I am assuming that you are not gay, in which case I suggest to you try to turn yourself gay and see if it is as easy as learning to write with your right hand. Many gay people are able to have sex with the opposite sex, it's true. It happens all the time where females lives are ruined by males who use them to try to hide who they really are.

@mythmanjay 2 of 2. But eventually most of those males end up cheating on their wives with men or leaving them for men. Sometimes they love their wife very much, but they are not truly in love and no matter how hard they try, they just cannot overcome who they truly are. Perhaps if you try to be a gay person you will understand and be more realistic in your comments. Which by the way, have all been negative. Not once have you had something supportive to say, so it seems you are out to hassle.

Very interesting and i would like to agree with matureasian it makes perfect sense. Though i'm not a follower of this faith it's good to know that some faith's still exist in which spiritual attunement and understanding is highly valued

I don't get how anyone can watch this video and think Buddhism condems homosexuality and this vid is mocking and ridiculing it.

This video is doing the exact opposite, asking us not to judge and condemn.

This video actually advocates tolerance on people who are different because we don't understand everything about nature.

Just now, I was listening without watching the video. Eventhough the bird was speaking unclearly, I cannot detect a tiny teeny bit of anti-gay sentiments in it.

I still cannot get how any can make this mistake.

You could be right freechild - although science says we humans are part of the animal chain - but regardless if we are or not, Nature is the same in all things. For example, most things feel pain, have a sex drive, experience fear and joy etc etc.

In other words 'behaviour' is one thing in all things and Nature is behind all behaviour... me thinks :o))
