Hold the green button (Middle one) then strum twice and it will change, repeat the same to swap from difficulty to another.

LOL. It's easier with 5 buttons because the notes are more spread out, meaning you can use less fingers per note. If you observe the hardest songs on Guitar Freaks, there are A LOT more complicated note combinations that will baffle you. At least Guitar Hero has hammer ons, and there's even a TTFAF in GF for you to try if you'd like to compare.

Yup, because 3 buttons is so much harder than 5. There's a lot of songs that go just as fast as this with 5 buttons, so go fuck youself, good sir.
