Here is my HO scale Atlas ALP44 featuring working ditch lights, strobe lights and marker lights on both ends of the alp. The markers, strobes and ditch lights are directional and all can be operated independently of the headlight functions. Locomotive features a dual decoder installation for full lighting functions on both ends, one decoder is a Back EMF decoder and in this installation has moved the total car haulage count from 5 to 8 on this locomotive.

Featured on NYSME UHO Ho scale model railroad. Installation by Rys Industires, Message me for more info on installation costs on this perticular model if intersted.

  • How much did this cost?

  • @Chessiecat97 The work costs about 150-160 dollars. I have one that is completed, #4405 that I am selling for $250. Includes all features seen here in the video. Working markers, ditch lights, strobe lights and head lights on both ends with full directional control of each function. 10 DCC functions and two decoders!

  • @NJTrainSET Nice! I'm working on an Amtrak cab car and wanted to know how much it would cost.

  • @Chessiecat97 Cab cars are about $100-150 depends on how many things you want done in the installation. $100 covers decoder power pickups and 4 lighting functions. (ditch lights head lights and markers most common).

  • I have to say, mad props on the amazing setup dude. Thanks for the amazing video.

  • @NJTrainSET I was talking about @sugarbeatkid I think maybe that's what he was referring to?

  • @prorobo No I was referring to the model. It does in fact pull that many cars with the modifications that my ALP and cars have. First the cars need to roll better, and second the ALP needs a good Back EMF decoder for best motor control.

  • @NJTrainSET @sugarbeatkid I think he was referencing the prototype ALP's? In either case, he'd be wrong because ALP's regularly haul these Bombardier cars up and down the NE Corridor as well as the double decker cars.

  • @sugarbeatkid No idea what your saying kid, that engine pulls them cars just fine.

  • this is amazing you know nj transit ho trains at home except the locomotive doesnt pull those cars right
