  • Hey this is a nice video,But I have a few questions to ask,I live in the Fort hood area and am a begginer to fishing ive only fished at still house 2 times I fish at the marina, and all i catch is 1/2 pound bluegilss and sometimes less that that,What find of fish are in that lake and where is the bset place to fish?and do you know fishing places on Fort hood,if your in the army,is there a stock pond behind the sportsman center?

  • @TexasAngler1

There are several stocked ponds on post, go to the sportsmans center and they will give you a map and stocking info. Stillhouse and belton both kinda suck for catfish. They are there though, but not the best lakes in texas for catfish. If you have a boat I can tell you a few places to go, if not about the only place I fished from the bank was on cowhouse creek on post, right where it goes into lake belton. Google map it and you will see the dirt road that gets you down there.

  • @eddie978n Thanks,I know there is a lake/pond next to kouma housing,Can you fish there

  • @TexasAngler1 not sure, i never really fished the ones on post much at all. The sportsmans center has a map with all the ones you are allowed to fish. Your best bet for some catfishing from the bank would prob be to drive down to granger and fish by the damn. Its tough around fort hood.

  • @eddie978n Ok well is granger far from fort hood, and to fish on fort hood do you need some kinda special ft hood acces pass?Im only 13 so would I need one?

  • @TexasAngler1

yeah you will need a special on post fishing license, just go to the sportsmans center on post and they will take care of everything for you. Not sure if its free for those under a certain age or not. Granger is about an hour away, but is a much better lake for fishing.

  • that young cat broke your pole? of in san jacinto i pulled out a 40 pound blue on my abu garcia easily no struggle

  • @Toddjo0578 thanks man, I caught a few crappie near that bridge on stillhouse, but not to experienced on that lake other than that area.

  • @suicide5389 no they actually broke. 99 percent of poles are two piece poles, nothing wrong with them at all, and they make it MUCH easier to carry around, but thanks anyways, and your right I do say fuck alot

  • haha damn carp!
