HSS is perfectly safe to use. It does clean the inside of the injector. If the only thing holding your injector together is carbon deposits, it will clean that too. If you run your tires on 20#s of pressure and stop at a filling station and put in 34#s and the tire springs a leak. You don't get upset with the gas station. Same here.
