North Carolina Transportation Museum - Blue Ridge Special - Part 1(re-uploaded)

On November first the North Carolina Transportation Museum along with the Watagua Chapter of the NHRS sponserd the first passenger train to run on the Nofolk Southern S-line in over 12 years! In this three part series you will see my girlfriend and I's chase from Majolica all the way to Asheville then back to Valdese. On the way up the Amtrak Number was O39 or 39. Then on the way back it was Amtrak O40 or 40. The numbers of the engines were 56, 144, and 5. The engines were P42DCs.

In this part of the series you will follow the Blue Ridge Special from Majolica Siding all the way to Connelly Springs Siding. This one also includes a long pacing scene!!! So enjoy the chase!!!

Also I was the guy in the Yellow Xterra for anyone on the train that was wanting to know.

I really liked the video. That equipment was used on The New River Train here in WV the weekend prior to this trip. I Car Hosted on this. Alot of our Chapter people went down. The Amtrak Mechs tried to get me to go down with them to do this trip may do it in 2010.

Great video Ben, I dont know why Amtrak has to use crappy engines for specials i know last years train to charlottesvile had the 135 which last time i saw it had a big dent in it
